He is Risen! and a visit from the Easter Fox

He is Risen, Indeed! Easter Morning we woke up to six inches of the fluffy wet white stuff! It snow from about noon yesterday until about midnight last night, and the sun came out about nine Sunday morning. It is so beautiful, Lori had to take our Easter Lilly out into the snow for a quick picture! What a picturesque reminder that because He is risen, we can be "washed whiter than snow!"
In case any of you are worried about what happened to spring in Colorado???...well, this is it! Last week warm and sunny, with highs in the 60's, which melted all our snow from last weekend. I guess it was time for some more.

Of course, those of you who live here or have visited us know it is not uncommon to have storms like this happen well into April. The best part is that they are all short lived, and the snow usually melts in 2-3 days.

But that is not all we experienced this morning! Some of you have the Easter bunny visit...well, we caught a picture of the Easter Fox! Anna, our budding wildlife photographer, shot these pictures of the fox as he wander across our front yard and down the side yard. This was a few minutes after we saw him being chased up the street by a neighbor's corgi dog!

It is hard to tell against the snow, but the tip of his tail is white!

These foxes actually came to Colorado Springs aka "Little London", over a century ago. They were imported here and raised on fox farms for fur, and were used in traditional English fox hunts hosted on farms and north of town, in the Black Forest of Colorado.

We are going to hunt for eggs, and maybe go sledding! Then it will be time for our traditional Honeybaked Ham dinner at our house, with Lori's cousins. Have a blessed Easter, because He lives!
