Thank you!

Yesterday was Thanksgiving, and a memorable holiday this year, to be sure.
As I reflect on what I have to be thankful for, the first that comes to mind is my family. The love, memories and bonds we share make each day sweeter.

Speaking of family, we had a dozen of us here for Thanksgiving dinner and an afternoon of fun. Lori's brother, Loren, and his family came in from Sacramento, and two of Lori's cousins ( who both live in Colorado Springs now) were here with their husbands. My dad, Conrad, was here, too. So, three generatins were represented.

After eating half of the 20 lbs. turkey Lori prepared, and more than enough trimmings, the adults settled into puzzles and movie watching. The kids colored turkeys for the annual Gazette contest, played outside, watch a move and spent time acting out mock commercials in Anna's room. It was a beautiful day, topped off with the annual cousins picture tradition. We sure missed those of our family who couldn't be here...but we had a wonderful crowd, anyway....maybe one of these years there can be poeple from both sides of the family here, and more people from "the parents" generation...

Anna and McKayla managed to stay out of the pictures all day...we'll add more of them later...

Now, time to get ready to Christmas shop! We are way behind this year...Ugh!
