A Different kind of Christmas

Normally, we celebrate Christmas for several days in a row. It begins with Christmas Eve services at church, some kind of food, usually finger foods, at our house, then all the festivities of Christmas morning. Then a lunch with a Honeybaked ham and the local family all gathered around. Then comes Christmas, Day 2, when Grandma Becky arrives, bearing gifts and lots of fun for both grandchildren and adults. This year is very different,m though, because Becky suffered an accident three weeks ago that left her with a broken shoulder, and unable to fly here. So, we decided my wife should go there to see what help and company she can be to Becky. Strangely quiet here. Hopefully, this is not a sign of things to come.
