Eickhaus announces new arrival!

This is the newest "Eick", Tanner. He is a 10 week old Golden-lab mix. He actually slept for 5 hours the first night in our house...not bad...we are hoping to get to 6 within a week. The kids love him!

Spring Break

For Spring Break, we traveled to CA to visit some friends, check up on some relatives, and do a bit of my Neff genealogy. The genealogy is part of an ambitious goal I have of putting together a book on my Neff ancestor's branches' sometime in the next year.

We began with a visit to our friends at Orfanatorio Emmanuel in Tijuana, Mexico. Then we tried to look up a Neff cousin in San Diego. Later we visited the mission in Capistrano, and went on to stay with our friend Linda in OC, who is more like and aunt to both of us. While there, we took the kids whale watching, visited my Great Aunt Mary Neff and her family, and went on to meet another Neff cousin, Marion Kautz. Then we visited Lori's step-Mom Becky up in LA.

Expecting

Yes, it's true...although many thought it might never happen!

We are expecting a Golden Labrador puppy. The kids picked him out yesterday. He is due to join us in our home about April 20, when he turns 10 weeks old. We have decided to call him Tanner.
